Nashville Pussy: Let Them Eat Pussy Uni/Mercury

One trick pony. That's all you need to know. Yes, the title is funny. Yes, the chicks in the band are scantily clad, and sometimes you can see their tits. Yes, one of them has an excellent tattoo on her belly in the shape of the Harley Davidson logo that says "Eat Me". Don't believe the hype. Nashville Pussy does Rawk and Roll to the lowest common denominator. Everything about this record is half-baked right down to the poorly executed cover shot. The lyrics are cartoon-like with macho bravado and are backed by generic second rate Ramones-style music with blazing cheesey guitar solos. The packaging of this product is anchored behind the trailer park sex appeal of the women on guitar and bass because there isn't anything original in the musical approach and the vocals are basically pure gravel yelling to cover a lack of range and production. There's really only one track on the album that stands any chance of being remembered, but in writing this review I was too bored to listen to Let Them Eat Pussy long enough to find it again. Nashville Pussy is like a bad one liner joke. They have a new release scheduled for this summer or fall, and the promo so far features the two babes getting high and semi-naked. Just say no to this latest attempt to marry punk rock with the legions of goons driving around in pick up trucks and "Bad Boy Club" decals on the windows.
